How do I start the order returns process?

To initiate a return, jump on your computer/laptop and log on to thredup.com, sign into your thredUP account and go to Account > Order Returns or click here. (Order returns may not be initiated from the mobile app or web at this time).

Choose the order from which you would like to return items (order number can be found on the included packing slip and confirmation emails), and follow the steps on the orders returns page:

1. Select the items you wish to return by checking the box to the left of the item's photo. 

2. Tell us why you are returning the items by choosing an option from our drop-down menu and leave comments if you'd like.

3. Click the "Begin Return" button to confirm.

4. Download, print, and include your return slip with items you are returning.***

5. Ship the item(s) back to us at:

IMPORTANT: Please do not send items you would like to return in your polka-dot Clean Out bag. These bags are processed differently and therefore we cannot guarantee your return items will be handled and refunded properly. 

ALSO IMPORTANT: Items must be returned in the condition that you received them in order receive a full refund (i.e. NWT items must have tags attached). Handbags are final sale. 

***As of February 20, 2014 we started a free order return limited beta for customers who've downloaded and placed orders on the thredUP APP using iOS or Android mobile devices. Any customer placing an order on one of our mobile apps will be able to print a prepaid, preaddressed USPS/FedEx return label with their return information. Offer limited to customers within the 48 contiguous states.
